How to connect ... ?

Hi everyone,

i got problem with my home entertainment system. I have recently bought Sony KDL-3000S and Sony DAV-DZ830. Everything is working great but i'm not able to get sound from TV on home cinema speakers. TV is connected to home cinema via Monster HDMI cable and via RCA cable (stereo jacks) to output sound signal from TV ... What's the catch, and what to do to fix this?

I did read all manuals that came with the equipment, and everything is looking to be connected properly but there's no sound on home cinema when i watch TV channels (home cinema function is set to TV).

Are the inputs assigned? It may be you have to go into the amp's setup menu and ensure that it is set to analogue as it maybe set to optical by default or something along those lines.
