LCD PJ's.Motion blur,pixelisation??

Hi guys

I am not a fan of LCD TV because It just does not appear as smooth as plasma when it comes to "fast" moving scenes (IMO).

I was just wondering if LCD PJ's have the same problem? i want to know because I have discounted DLP from my list due to RBE which leaves LCD & DILA.

Advice appreciated

Re: LCD PJ's.Motion blur,pixelisation??

See if you can find the pixel response times for the pjs you're thinking of buying. IIRC, DLP mirrors are around 500 times faster than LCD/DILA pixels, so that may account for the motion blur. The only way to know if this makes a visible difference to you is to try and demo some.

Gary.

Re: LCD PJ's.Motion blur,pixelisation??

The lcd panels in projectors are tiny nothing like the massive backlit screens, I am amazed at the lack of pixallation on my panasonic lcd even with xvid etc the image is stable and smooth, motion is also fantastic no smearing or blur at all, more stable then my panasonic plasma I would say.

I think the technology must be different even though both are based on LCD (Screens and PJ's) because I can run any racing game you like through my TX200 from PS3 or Xbox360 with zero motion blur.

Re: LCD PJ's.Motion blur,pixelisation??

Never noticed any lag on my AE1000 (LCD PJ) and I've played some car racing games through it too. I think it is different to an LCD TV, maybe as the LCD panel is tiny compared to a TV panel...who knows?
