Connecting BDP-S300 to cheap amp. Coaxial or 5.1?

At the moment i have my 300 connected to a Yamaha RXV-361 amp via the coaxial input simply because the 2 optical inputs are taken up by my Toshiba HD-E1 and my 360.

As the 300 as the 5.1 multi channel out would it be best to connect using this or coaxial as i have no idea which would sound best.

Also if using the 5.1 what cable do i use, would it be x3 rca leads?
