USA Region 1 Pioneer DVD-400v to 'Region-Free'
Hi
I have just moved out to USA from Enlgand, and have transported all my Region 2 English DVD's out to USA. I bought the Samsung DVD-1080P7 from the store hoping I could make it from region 1 USA to region free. I tried firmwares etc and could not get it to work. I took it back to the store to get a refund and bought the Pioneer DV-400v instead. It is region 1 locked. I cannot get it to unluck with the IR codes. I have a Verizon XV-6700 Windows Mobile 6 phone, and I downloaded and installed VITO REMOTE, as it is the only one I could get to read the CodefreePioneer565.ccf file. I loaded up the software, loaded the CCF code file, and had a button CODEFREE on the screen. I pointed it at the DV-400v. It switched off the DVD player. I waited a few seconds, and unplugged it completly from the wall, waited a few more seconds, plugged it back in, switched it on and put in my Region 2 DVD. The DV-400v is still region locked, and it ejects my Region 2 DVD. I have looked at SO MANY websites, including all the links in this forum that leave me to hacks for the DV-400v. I have tried as much as I can, but I cannot get this US region 1 locked DVD player to become a multi region DVD player. Please, please could someone help me, I really am so desperate to watch my Region 2 DVD's. I really cannot face taking a second open box DVD player back to the store, pretending that there is something wrong with it and asking for a full refund! Thank you so much in advance Lawrence |
