Playing other people's music on your network using WMP - help please

Hey,
I am using Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11.
I am currently in university halls with 1500 residents on the same network as me, and would like to be able to share music with them i.e. be able to play their music on my PC and they can play my music on their PCs.
I have enabled sharing on Windows Media Player, and can see other people on my network.
However, it only lets me allow these people to play MY media. How do I look at other people's media on my network? I have looked in all the settings and can't find anything. Is there a way to have people on my network's media show up in my library like on iTunes?
Any help is much appreciated,
Cheers
