Sub and Amp decision - Help please!

Hi all,

Got a budget of £200 for a good sub and amp deal. Preferably a 12inch sub with a four channel amplifier so i can amp the subwoofer and two front car speakers.

I was looking at this deal http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/5690.html.

I really like that sub but im not too sure if vibe are any good! Do you think if i gave them a call they could sort me out with a four channel amp instead of that one.

I listen to a lot of hip hop/rnb/rap and the description given for this sub is 'hard punchy bass'. Also i want it to be a simple set up nothing complex.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.

TBH the amp isn't very good - if you want a cheap JBL go for the 75.4, it is considerably more capable.

Vibe subs get maligned but are actually pretty decent, however the boxes they put them in tend to be tuned pretty high. This means they will sound very loud but you'll miss out on a lot of the bottom octave.

Thanks Nawty for replying to my question!

I was also looking at this http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/6676.html

This kit looks good, my mate has the the same subwoofers and the bass is amazing. Would you recommend this?

If this is the one, what else will i need to install the kit, or is that all i will need?

Thanks !!

A 75.4 isn't powerful enough to drive 2 of those subs (assuming you still want to amp the fronts too).

Re: Sub and Amp decision - Help please!

Na im going to keep my standard speakers as they are good already! i'll continue to run them by my headunit.

What amp could you suggest that will run those two subs nicely?

In those packages, why do they give those amps if they know they wont be able to run the subs?

I have also seen this deal http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/4064.html

That looks really good.

And another one http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/3377.html

I really like the alpine type r subs, mate has one of those too and it pounds really nicely. Not sure which one to go for!
