yea they are the same THX tests as on the two disc, very good value. I bet most people just ignore them though.

i don`t know if you were replying to me, but if you were it is region two, but i don`t think the region makes any difference. my monsters inc is region one and has the test.
as i said before i think all thx classified dvd`s have this on them-i think it`s called a thx optimiser test.

Also.
My R1 Fight Club has it and the latest best version I have found is on my R2 Attack of the Clones.
Not sure if I have caliberated it right though, but I think it looks good to my untrained eye.

You'll need a PAL DVD with THX Optimode on to calibrate for PAL and a NTSC DVD with THX Optimode on to calibrate for NTSC.
Naturally, you can only calibrate for one or try and find a happy medium.

The THX Optimizer is supposed to be slightly different for every film, its part of the THX specification.
After the techie guys have finished the DVD copy of the film, they include the optimizer so that you can setup your equipment exactly how they had theres.
That way you get the "as the director" intended feel.
I do have it on a couple of disks though and I can't see any noticable difference from one movie to another.

ahhh
so it is just the THX optimizer.
I thought there was another thingy on there.
I use the optimizer nearly everytime a play a DVD. (u know my parents and the remote they always change the brightness and contrast not even realizing it, just pushing the wrong buttons)
I really like the inphase and outphase tests (only need to do them once though)
And the crossover test is also nice let's u see how deep the sub goes.
