HDMI Cable Problem

i had my new PS3 hooked up for a day to "HDMI Socket 1" on my TV and all was fine,... i then couldnt get a signal from my PS3 on my TV.... I tried the cable in my HDMI DVD player aswell and still couldnt get a signal.

i tried again this morning, this time by resetting my TV ..... my DVD player starting working through HDMI for about 10 seconds then turned off....

just tried it again 1 hour later and it seems to be staying on ......

also everything works perminantly in "Socket 2" on my TV ..

so this is either a fault with "Socket 1" on my TV... or a faulty HDMI cable

what do you think ?
