Philips DVP5960 - Is there a better upscaling player under £40 ?

Guys,

My ****ing Xbox 360 has red circled for the 2nd time so that is it I need a Upscaling DVD player while the piece of microsoft cr@p is away getting fixed. Admittedly I've always thought the DVD playback on the 360 was pants so here's my chance to prove it.

I really need to buy from Amazon as I have some credit with them - to me it looks like the Philips DVDP5960 is probably the best bet.

Is this a good player ? - I guess there's probably not much better at the price bracket ?

Any good / bad feedback from owners ?

There's a whole thread on the 5960 here.

It is the best BUDGET upscaler out there in my opinion. It is excellent for playback of divx etc. and has modded firmwares around to improve the player even more.
