Help Please Epson R245 and Third Party Cartridges

Hi All,

I have just replaced the ink cartridges in my Epson with 3rd party ones but the colours are saying they are only quarter full and the black originaly came up as full but every time i switched the printer on and off it went down a quarter until now it is saying it is empty.

I seem to remeber hearing something some time ago that there is somehting you need to do when using 3rd party carts, can anybody put any light on this for me.

Did you say 'yes' or 'no' when the Epson software asked you if you wanted to continue with the 'non original' cartridges after you fitted them?

I have just purchased a black cart from Morrisons and put it in and it works fine, the software did ask me the question and i said yes but when i fitted the ones earlier today the question did not come up at all

Looks as if the Epsom software hasn't 'found' them then
