What would you do ???

Guys your opinions please :

Gordon is coming over to mine on Wednesday to calibrate my Pioneer 508XD. At this minute and time I have the following connected :

Input 1 : Sky HD (Via HDMI)
Input 2 : Sky SD ( Via scart)
Input 3 : Pioneer BDP-LX70 Blu Ray Player

So my question. I intend to buy a PS3 or similiar (maybe XBox 360), basically whichever suits my screen best but havent really had the time to look into it yet. Would I be better to get Gordon to set up another Input with the same setting as say my blu ray player on input 3, or would I be better to borrow someones PS3 etc and plug it in for calibration ?

All opinions appreciated !

I would contact Gordon himself but he is busy on tour at the mo and I dont want to bother him.

Thx !

Re: What would you do ???

I would suggest you get him to set up a second input for the PS3. If you can borrow a PS3 for a few hrs that would be great as well.

Re: What would you do ???

I didn't calibrate his tv due to technical issues with the software.

Re: What would you do ???

Seems like Gordon got here before me.... ha ! Its a pity though as I was looking forward to seeing the before and after results. When I eventually do get the screen calibrated I will post my findings on here (albeit from someone with very little knowledge on the subject) !!!!!

Re: What would you do ???

Gordon,

I am looking at both xx8xd and xx80xd versions. the only reason I am considering xx8xd is isf calibration function. Will it be possible to achieve same/similar after-isf results with xx80?

Thanks!
