Denon 4306 - Here we go again
I swear I am going to take up knitting - its simpler
Anyway - after much deliberation I have reintroduced a pair of B&W 603s and a CC6 to the front sound stage of my HC - these replace the small kef eggs that I had there, which I have now used to give me the extra rear speakers
However yet again I am far from convinced that the Audyssey set up is giving me the best results for my system - most noticably in the bass (or lack of it) dept
Should I still be selecting all speakers as small and sending bass just to LFE ? or should I place the two 603s as large an have bass as LFE + Main ?

I'd try them set to Large, LFE+MAIN and go into the Advanced crossover settings and set the crossover to 40hz or 60hz.

Re: Denon 4306 - Here we go again
Hi,
603s are large and CC6 is a poor centre... suggest something bigger like an LCR600.
What sub are you using?

Re: Denon 4306 - Here we go again
Yes, sell them both and buy an XLS-200. Sorry.
I would suggest placing the mic around the two most used seating positions and ignore seats where people don't sit. Try one measurement in each of the two main seats, one in between and then three about a meter in front of the first three. Unless you actually sit there, keep the mic away from room boundaries where bass is much stronger. This squews the results and results in drastically reduced bass at anywhere that isn't against a wall.

Re: Denon 4306 - Here we go again
Thanks for the advice but now having a mortgage to pay means no big spending (and if i do it will be on new PJ)
Cant have too much bass anyway as only live in semi - just want bit more impact
Bit more fiddling and ill get there
