Unhappy Daewoo DH6100P format HDD

OK you guys and girls

Don’t let the PHD and BSc HND and HNC fool you, I’m as thick as 2 short planks!!

So here I am playing with my Daewoo DH6100P and I get a flash of inspiration!! I will upgrade my 80GB drive with a spare 400GB hard drive I have (Don’t ask I just had a spare knocking around OK!) any-way’s… so all I have to do is hook the 80GB drive to my PC to find out what the setup is and then transfer it to the 400GB drive right?.

OK so when I hooked it up I noticed it didn’t show up on my USB interface to which it was plugged. Oh well not lost anything so I plugged the 400GB HDD into the DH6100P just to see if it would work but it didn’t.

SO no probs I will put everything back the way it was…

Oh no you won’t say DH6100P!

Now when I plug the 80GB into the DH6100P I get nothing but an open draw and a blank screen.

I am assuming the draw opening is asking for some setup disk.

I have looked at practically every page on the net that mentions DH6100P but I can’t find any reference to a setup disk of any kind.

Do any of you chaps have any idea how I can get the bloody thing working again.

Many thanks guys
