How can I backup my mp3 files with album info

Can anyone tell me how to backup my mp3 files and include the album pictures that I downloaded from the net so I dont have to find it all again.
I spent ages getting my collection onto my MCE pc and would like to backup onto a few dvds so that I don't have to go through the whole process again. Where does windows store the album info ? what is the file extension.

itunes stores album art as part of the mp3 file so the album pictures will stay with the file wherever you put it. You might need to select the "keep itunes music folder organised" option to make this happen, but I think the album art is automatically added to the file when you import music into itunes. itunes 7 can even download all your album art in one go if you open an itunes account.

I suggest you link to the following which details how to add the iTunes artwork to your track’s ID3 tag, so the artwork stays with the MP3 files regardless of your mp3 player. I am in the process of doing this to all my music files on my iPod so that when I update to my PS3, the artwork is also transferred.
