Loss of Stereo Audio from Freeview Box

I've got a Humax F2-FOX T Freeview box which is connected to a JVC 32 inch CRT TV (HV-32P37SJE) via Scart and co-ax. Everything has appeared to work OK for over a year but checking some settings recently revealed the following.

When the TV is receiving a signal from the Freeview box via the Scart lead it picks up stereo sound. But, when the same signal is coming via the RF output of the Freeview box the audio is only mono.

Is this "normal" ?? I would have thought that the Freeview box would put out a stereo audio signal on both the Scart socket and the RF Out socket??

Any info much appreciated.

George.

Exactly the same problem, and same answer as with your VCR. No RF output on any domestic device carries NICAM stereo.
