Hiding Radiator

Hi,

Currently have a standard radiator on the same wall as the TV, is it possible to bring the wall out say by 3 inches, creating a false wall that totally hides the radiator? Would the radiator still be effective?

Re: Hiding Radiator

I think you would waste alot of money heating a wall cavity.... you can get soem really nice Radiators http://www.radiatorfactory.net/produ...ryID=6&code=FF which may be a better offer..........

Re: Hiding Radiator

If you get the detailing right then it would be no worse than fitting a radiator cabinet. It will reduce the heat output of the radiator so if the room is already difficult to heat then it would be worse if you go ahead.

If you do proceed then make sure there is plenty of free space around the radiator, that it is sealed at the sides/top (could also insulate at the same time) and use a suitable grille on the front to allow ait in and out.
