Hi what i am wanting to do is save 16 avi files 5.46 GB of info in total onto a 4.7 GB dvd disk so they can be played on another pc. How is the best way to do this ? if needed i could use 2 dvds but would preffer to use one. If i use just one dvd i would have to compress the files to make them fit though ? If i do this i would be losing even more quality of the files though ? They have allready been compressed before i aquired them so not sure if compressing them more would be a good idea. Any help on this would be great

a little program called "convertxtodvd" from VSO software is a pretty damn good and reliable way to squash avi's on to a DVD. I use it all the time. Also creates a simple menu, with a customisable background

very good results too

just re-read that it's for playing on another pc, will still work and will be much easier than trying to re-encode 16 avi's just to save relatively little space

there are dual-layer DVD's too :D
