Nice one Sweets - definitely some opposition going on there. Love the warm glow coming through the ice.
Hope you're not going to be bored for the rest of the month.

Re: Hot and Cold
(N)ice shot. I like the glow of the candle showing in the top layer of ice-cubes.

Re: Hot and Cold
I really like this one Anita, extremes of the spectrum to say the least
As others have said it has a nice feel to it with the light shining through the ice and the condensation on the glass.
Your little fill in flash has worked well but I wonder what results you would have ended up with having not used flash but using a tripod and a long shutter speed, one to try if you get bored methinks
Excellent

Re: Hot and Cold
A very good take on the theme - bang on as usual. The condensation on the glass gets the "cold" bit across very well, and the flame is obviously very hot
On the constructive criticism side, I think the crop is a bit close. I'd have preferred to see a bit more space above the flame as the composition takes the eye up the shot, but then it hits the border. Perhaps a bit less speedy next time?
I suspect there will be quite a few watery themed shots in this comp
