A few questions on 1080p Projectors from HIVIZONE
A few questions, regarding HIVIZONE 1080P projectors:-
-has anyone actually had a projector sent successfully from HIVIZONE to the UK?
-Does the price on the website exclude VAT which is 17.5%, correct me if i'm wrong?
-Are the differences between these three fairly negligble?
-can anyone advise which of the following should I buy and why?
The shortlist is
-Epson EMP-TW1000 LCD Projector
-Panasonic PT-AE1000E LCD Projector
-Mitsubishi LVP-HC5000 LCD Projector
thanks,
Neil

Re: A few questions on 1080p Projectors from HIVIZONE
there have been may happy buyers here from hivizone. i can recomend them wholeheartely.
the price you see is before VAT (Chan at Hivizone will mark the shipment down so as to lower the VAT, duty is free though which is good).
my money went on the AE1000 - better SD scaling than the epson (had a number of demos of the epson and the panny in hong kong).
also the AE1000 will do true 1080p/24 frame conversion unlike the epson.
have not seen the mits so cant comment on that one.
if it was a choice between the epson or the panny my money would go on the panny

I'll agree with you on that. Out of interest what did your final bill come to including VAT and shipping costs??
I may consider this route although the fears of getting a projector with convergence, VB, dead pixel(s)... you name it puts me off when importing such a distance.
How did HIVIZONE alay these fears/concerns and did they provide an international warranty???

FGevans got his from the actual store while he was out there. I've spoken to a few other forums members and I think they said you roughly have to put £200 on top for customs etc (this is after he marked it down the Ae1000 to $1600). Postage is $190 via UPS express.
The warranty has been discussed so much on here, read here for more info:
Panny AE1000 back in stock!!
