Themescene H56 how do I kill the "Replace Bulb" message?

I got the replace bulb message flashing up after 2000 hours. I replaced the bulb, but the message persists. I can turn it off by going through the menu options, but it only turns it off for that session. Next time I turn the projector on on the message comes back even though it is a new bulb.

Have you reset the counter?

I've got a Themescene H79, but not had experience of the H56. On mine it's got 'bulb' in one of the menus. When I go to that I have options for turning lamp warning on or off (like yours it defaults to on when restarting), and resetting the counter.

I don't have a problem with the menu option, but I cannot find how to reset the counter. There is no mention of it in the instructions and I have searched all the menu options and there is nothing there. Is it a physical reset inside the projector?

On mine I never worked out how to reset the bulb counter when I first replaced the bulb. However, mine has been back to Optoma several times with different problems, and the counter has always been reset when it comes back.

On the third bulb now (second one lasted 93 days) and out of warranty so I'll probably have to find the answer to this question before long...
