Our industry sources have checked in with tentative street dates for a number of major upcoming DVD and high-def releases. Here's what to expect...

9/18 - We Are Marshall (Warner)

9/25 - Knocked Up (Universal), Bug (Lionsgate), Next (Paramount)

10/2 - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Fox), Surf's Up (Sony)

10/23 - 28 Weeks Later (Fox), Daywatch (Fox)

10/30 - Spider-Man 3 (Sony)

11/6 - Evan Almighty (Universal)

11/13 - Ocean's Thirteen (Warner), Shrek the Third (Paramount)

12/4 - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (Disney)

As always, this information should be considered unofficial until the titles and dates (which are subject to change) are actually announced by the studios in question. Stay tuned

Didn't think much of 28 Weeks Later or At World's End, so neither of those for me. I've heard nothing but praise for Knocked Up, so that's the only one that takes my fancy from the list.

surfs up , 28 weeks later and at worlds end for me

Maybe I'm just getting a bit old, but there's little there for me.

'28 Weeks Later' will be a must-have for me, and the little girl might like 'Shrek 3' & 'POTC3'. 'Spiderman 3'? Maybe in a 3-disc box with the other 2 if it's cheap enough.

Has anyone noticed that release date for 'Spiderman 3'? I think it's quite telling.

I noticed that the Americans are still insisting on putting the month first. Always looks strange to me and it's not done with anything else, e.g. who's watching Dr Who tonight at 05:19? Whenever I read a date like that it reminds me of the magical Mars probe
