blu ray region code for HTCP

Thinking of building one and have a BD and HD DVD drive in one place. Just wanted to know is it the dive that is region locked like with SD drives? Or would i need to get one from the states?

Thanks for the replies

Ben

Yeah, it's the drive thats region locked and it'll let you change region 5 times like dvd.

Best thing to get is AnyDVD HD, that removes the blu-ray region codes.

I'll second that.

You sure about that ? AFAIK in device manager there is nowhere to set Blu-ray region, only SD DVD region. I believe the region is locked in the player (ie PowerDVD) and even this can be reset to zero with a hack.

However as suggested AnyDVD HD is the current solution.
