Re: Macro shots with FZ50...and what macro lenses are there to fit?

The FZ50 already has macro mode, so there is nothing else to attach unless you screw on a +10 or similar adapter. You will lose image quality though and will likely get purple fringing.

To use macro correctly on the FZ50, switch on the macro switch and open the aperture to it's widest setting. Put the camera lens as close as it will focus to the subject and shoot. You may be able to zoom in a tad (x1 or x2) without losing focus, but may have to compensate by 'backing off' the camera from your subject.

Trial and error.

The Raynox-DCR250 seems to be the favorite macro lens on the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ50 Group on flickr, I'm thinking about getting one for my FZ7.

I bought a 55mm +4 filter for my FZ8 which works quite well. There is a Panny DMW-LC55 closeup lens, but I don't know what the exact specs of it are.

Something like the Raynox DCR250 is something worth considering as well.
