Canon A620 v A640

We've been playing with a borrowed A620 from my wife's work as a possible upgrade from our aged Agfa ephoto 1280 and spotted an as new unused one on "the" auction site and won it for £103 with a 2Gb Kingston card and a Canon camera case. I since realised we could have got a new A640 for £169.
Should I be pleased we got a good camera at a good price or dissapointed we didn't think to spend a bit more on the A640 ?

Re: Canon A620 v A640

Pity you hadn't thought about a new Canon at the last Bank holiday as Canon were doing the CashBack offer . I bought the A630 for £161 , got £10 off with the Google checkout and £50 back from the the Canon Cashback .Very nice camera indeed . We have the A610 [or A620 ] at work and that takes a great picture , so you cannot go wrong with what you've got. Not to sure what your pixells are on the 620 ,mines 8 mp .

Re: Canon A620 v A640

Please don't remind me about the cashback offer We've stayed with the same digital camera for nearly ten years due to it's superb lens and only decided this weekend to upgrade having played with a works A620 that we felt had a good lens we would be happy with. The A620 is 7.1Mp more than enough for our needs I suspect. Thanks for putting my mind at rest about the 620 though
