The Moustache !

Took this last week after some heavy rain, the local canoe club were playing about at a weir and I took a few shots which I have sent them, this one then stood out to me as depicting a very British gent battling against the odds and I must say - winning !

He was really good and could go places no others could, and one look at that moustache and the determination on his face said it all for me. Hope you all agree.

Excellent focus there.

Having been a white water kayaker in the past and taking a fair few snaps of people doing it, I know how hard it is to get the focus right.

It's an excellent shot. I hope that the 'Werner' written on his paddle is a brand and not his name. That wouldn't be very British would it?

shame he wasn't using union jack paddles!!

An absolutely cracking capture Biscuit. Lovely water, paddle blur and colours.
I guess the only thing is the 'Britishness' aspect. It will be interesting to see whether people go with theme communication over technical at voting time.

It was a cracking shot and it's been rattling around in my head all this month. Unfortunately I didn't get chance to do something similar, but even then I'm sure you can see your influence in my final entry. I couldn't get them to look miserable though!
