Home Hub Crashing

I've recently upgraded to option 3 and recieved my home hub from BT. I previously used a Netgear router that was rock solid. The home hub keeps locking up and needs rebooting several times a day.

I've also found that MAC address filtering does not work correctly with my kids Nintendo DS's. They can connect fine with filtering turned off, but as soon as I turn it on they are unable to connect, despite being in the list.

The router is on the latest version of the software.

Are these common faults, or do I have duff router?

Re: Home Hub Crashing

How many of the eternet ports of the HH are you using? The second ethernet port has been known to causes issues, if in use.

Re: Home Hub Crashing

I 've managed to stop the hub from crashing.

The solution was to run the Broadband Desktop Help app. I let it run through its diagnostic checks, and although no errors were reported, nor anything appear to have been changed, the router has been fine ever since.

MAC address filtering, still doesnt work correctly with the DS's though.

The main reason for swapping from my old Netgear router was so I could use the Hub phone, but I have found the range to be better on the Hub as well.
