Eva8000

Brand new model - out of the box. One of the first of the UK ones.

Never seems to finish booting... get "Powering Up - Please wait" ... for about a second and then repeats...

Paperclip reset is ineffective.
Powering off is ineffective.

Tried all the connection methods, svideo, hdmi, component and scart. Same message and same problem.

( At the moment, I don't think this product is quality checked ! )

RMA tomorrow me thinks....

Angry Re: Eva8000

Picked one up on Saturday from PC World, spent most of Sunday trying to get the thing to work! I could get it to start, but it refused to keep an IP address, whether static or via DHCP.

Took it back yesterday and got a refund!

Why are we customers being used as beta testers and quality control?

Re: Eva8000

Also the netgear web based tech support request replies are rubbish. Best you get is simple first line support regurgitations of thier contact numbers.

Still, it is a nice box - if I can get one that works - it has good promise.

Re: Eva8000

Anyone know where I can get one. I can't find stock anywhere except PC World - and that's a big premium to pay...
