Question Samsung le37r88bd or PHILIPS 37PFL5522

Hi guys

I have decided to be parted from my cash, well I have a broken TV at home and I need no more excuse to buy a new one. There are two sets that I am looking at as per the subject. I wondered if you guys had any experiance of either that could lead me to one or the other ?

I'll initially be running standard Sky, upgrading to the HD version when a more financially friendly deal comes out. I'm immeninently getting an XBox to run as well.

Phillips £658.99 Pixel Plus - http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/stor...m=null&tm=null

Samsung £637 DMEI Technology - http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/stor...m=null&tm=null

If you can give any pointers to a new boy they would be greatfully received.

Cheers
J

Re: Samsung le37r88bd or PHILIPS 37PFL5522

whilst recently searching for a TV,i did look at both models listed here.personally,i preferred the philips but eventually settled for the philips 32PF9641D-10 which had better contrast ratio etc and,on display, had the edge on the 5522. ok,was listed at £799.99 in Comet but got it for £721.99(they agreed to price-match from their Comet website price).
is an excellent tv,very good picture on SD,freeview also very good(on most channels, some a bit ropy, but not awful as i have seen on others.)
