Speaker Matching Front Three Advice

Last week I recently auditioned the Monitor Audio Silver Speaker package and without doubt it was awesome - not said lightly - looks, sound, and the earth rumbling sub were just fantastic. Here's my dilema. I was all set go ahead with MA Silver centre speaker, when I noticed an M and K K7 which had obviously been around in the shop a while. My original intention, to gradually move over to MA Silvers all round.

Seven Oaks allowed me to audition the M and K K7 Centre with the remaining MA Silvers....no difference, or not apparent, perhaps a miniscule tail off on the base. The M and K K7 will cost me £125 the MA Silver £225.

Am I doing the right thing? Will my overpriced outragously irritating but very good looking and great with music all in one Linn DVi be man enough to drive the Centre M and K K7 rated at 4 ohms (the Linn integrated amp can drive up to 75 amp per channel max I think) and how ill it sound with my Acoustic Energy 109's.... I have an optimistic feeling they will go well!! How critical really is it to match the front three? same manufacturer, etc?

Put me out of my misery and help me make f*!in decision....I'm a grown man for God sake!!
