Too British for the 21st century

Is this still the American version of british streets?

This was taken during a supprise visit to my Dad's place in Lincoln last week, a very British scene, its amazing how we have so much old and new side by side in this country. I guess thats what makes us proud to be British

Canon 30D
exif as follows:
shooting mode program AE
shutter speed 1/50
AV 4.0
exposure comp +1/3
ISO 100
Focal length 18mm
White balance - daylight

Desaturated and removed some extranious pipework with CS2

i shall send the original to you zone asap

Re: Too British for the 21st century

Looks British to me - narrow little lane, cobbles, old street light, rain. Ticks a lot of the boxes. Would a foreigner automatically say it was British though? Not so sure about that.

I think I like the B&W conversion as B&W often works very well in a scene like this, taking distracting colours out of the equation.

Also it is an intriguing view - I want to know what is through the alleyway as there's just a glimps there, so good composition too.
