Sam
thanks for the answer. I am working my way through the list, but so far I haven't found one that has 2 tuners & is still produced.
Regards John

Unclear as to what you are actually after. A cheap decent Freeview recorder is the Dual (brand name) from Asda with twin tuners and 2 SCARTS and 80Gb hard disk. Costs around £80 and is self upgradable to record from both tuners simultaneously if you want. There are similar cheaper ones on eBay etc but your local Asda are easier to deal with if you have problems. Several of the budget Freeview boxes (£20 -30) in Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys nd the like have 2 x SCART but single tuner. Perhaps if you want 2 x tuners in the same room (I'm assuming a VCR or DVD recorder fits in somewhere) it might be easier to buy 2 boxes - get different models or using the remote might be problematic. My recommendation would be just to lash out the extra few quid for a freeview recorder though. Even if you have already got a DVD recorder with hard disk etc, a hard disk recorder with integrated freeview is just so much easier to setup and program.

Re: Recommendations for an inexpensive Freeview box with 2 scart outputs

There isn't a Freeview box, which isn't also a HDD recorder (PVR), that has two tuners. All the "simple" receivers have just one. To get two tuners and two outputs - you'd (simply) need two boxes - of different makes, because otherwise the remotes will interfere with each other.

Now if you want to record.........a PVR is probably the best way to go about it.

Why not tell us what it is you intend to use it all for.....and then, maybe we can help more.

LV, thanks for the info, that changes things a lot. I guess that I will have to go for either 2 single tuner boxes or one twin box with built in recorder

Re: Recommendations for an inexpensive Freeview box with 2 scart outputs

Weird this but I read this thread this morning. I then poped into John Lewis, who are having a sale, this lunchtime

What do I find in their sale section but a Goodmans Twin Tuner Freeview Box. Model number GDB10F2. It must be old as its not on the goodmans site but I did find one on the net - http://www.jellydeal.co.uk/GOODMANS-...et-top-box.htm

I think the one in JL was £35
