HD DVD Wish List

Just got myself set-up with a new Samsung 32” HD display, this will primarily be used for PC and Xbox 360.
I decided a while back not to invest in a stand alone HD DVD player until more movies are available, but after seeing how good the graphics are on the Xbox 360 now its in HD, I have just ordered the HD DVD drive for it!!

As we all know DVD will eventually be replaced by one of the HD formats I have now decided not to purchase any more movies (in DVD format) until the are released in HD, Know I could be waiting a long time but don’t want to buy the same move twice.
If anyone has any links to a good HD DVD outlet it would be much appreciated.

Below is my top 10 wish list of movies I would like to see in HD (No order just a list).
Would be interested to see other peoples top 10 (with release dates if known)

1. Alien/Aliens (All of them)
2. Forest Gump
3. Indiana Jones (All of them)
4. Star Wars (All of them)
5. Lord of the Rings (All of them)
6. Platoon
7. Fight Club
8. Pulp Fiction
9. Saving Private Ryan
10. Snatch

Re: HD DVD Wish List

Lord Of The Rings will hopefully not be too long in arriving - we know it's in production but New Line are yet to announce details.

Re: HD DVD Wish List

I'd love to see the OP's list. Getting tired of seeing stale titles arriving at the moment. Got The Untouchables arriving any day now, but theres little else that interests me at the moment.

Re: HD DVD Wish List

You probbly already know this but the Aliens films are Fox titles and so currently would only come out on Blu-Ray. Alien vs Predator is already out.

Same can be said for a few of those.

Fight Club is fox, so Blu-Ray
Star Wars is fox, so Blu-Ray.
Snatch is columbia Tristar so Blu-Ray.
Pulp Fiction is Miramax, Buena Vista so Blu-Ray
Platoon was MGM, now Sony, so once again Blu-Ray.

Pulp Fiction is coming out before the end of the year on Blu-Ray. I'm hoping Fight Club will too when Fox get their act together, and I can't see Star Wars coming out anytime soon. I would say the same for Indiana Jones, but with the fourth film in the series out next year, and Paramount's very good support of both HD formats, there is a chance of a four film box set in 2008 I reckon.
