Ellie Electric Screens...

Hi,

I will be purchasing my first projector screen soon. I will probably go for a 7' wide electric screen (possibly tab tensioned) and wondered if the Ellie screens were worthy for consideration?

Thoughts welcomed!

Thanks,

Steve

Re: Ellie Electric Screens...

I've bought two screens from Ellie, a 2.4mtr wide "Duet" screen, and a 3.5mtr wide tab tensioned screen.

Happy with both screens

Both nice and flat.

Regards,

Stan.

Hi Stan,

Thanks for the reply.

In your opinion, is the Tab Tensioned Ellie a worthwhile investment over the standard electric screen?

Re: Ellie Electric Screens...

sdb123 - tensioned vs standard electric - that's a tough one.

With a standard screen, you might notice a slight curling of the vertical edges of the screen - nothing much, it certainly doesn't affect viewing pleasure !

With the tab-tensioned screen, the screen edges are dead flat and straight - at least on my example anyway.

It depends on whether you've other kit to buy aswell ( projector etc.. ), might be better going with the standard screen and putting the money saved towards other items.

Regards,

Stan.

Re: Ellie Electric Screens...

I've bought everything I need for now....I assume that any curling may occur on the edges rather than the viewing area itself?

The overall quality is good though?

Re: Ellie Electric Screens...

Any curling should be on the black edges mainly.

The viewing area itself should be nice and flat !

I certainly don't have any complaints as far as quality goes

Regards,

Stan.
