Marantz 6001 or 7001 ???

thinking about the Marantz 6001 or 7001.
The difference in price is almost €200. But looking at the specs the only difference is that the 7001 has THX and another hdmi port..
Does anyone have experience with these amps? Does anyone have suggestions for a better amp in the same price bracket.. approx €1000..
Just trying to get things right before I spends 1000's on my new system only to find I've done something foolish.

A lot of members here rate the Onkyo 875 highly, so you may need add that one to your option.
More experienced members will give you good advice, you have to be patient and be prepared to give more information.

I'll listen to whatever ppl have to say.
I'm teaming it with the MA silver series speakers so that has it's implications too.
I don't know what information I can add.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.
