Varilight constantly dims and brightens!!

Hi, i have a Varilight 600w remote dimmer (master) and this works fine, but as soon as the electrician installs another slave dimmer the lights go into a dim-bright constant loop?

we have replaced the slave dimmer and the new slave does the same. I have asked the dealer if the slave is too low wattage (as it is a 400w slave dimmer and all the gu10 halogens add up to 400w, the master is a 600W) but am told that the slave dimmer will handle the wattage.

Anyone got any ideas?

I can close this now as BEWARE, i've been informed that although Varilight do a 60w master they do not do a 600w slave so you cannot use a master/slave combo with a 600w master remote dimmer
