I'll try to make this as brief as possible...
Back in November '06 I signed a 1-year contract with NTL (now Virgin) for internet/TV/phone. I am moving next week (right across the street from where I currently live) and wanted to take all of my services with me. However, Virgin is telling me they can't hook up cable to my new flat, and can't do any work on it because it's a listed building. Then they hit me with the real stunner - I am going to have to buy myself out of the rest of my contract with them (which runs till Nov. 07). They say the contract we have isn't with me, but with where I live. I think this is complete and total ********. From my point of view, I'm wanting to take all of my services with me, but they're unable so they are the ones unable to live up to their end of the bargain. Can anyone help me find a solution to this? Is there any law over here which protects a consumer from such crap?
Help! :lease:
