New to freeview advice needed

Today I got a new 32 inch LCD with Freeview built inside. As I got Sky I have never needed a aerial but would like to set Freeview up now and use it if Sky ever goes off due to rain and such.

My main digital mast is Sutton Coldfield and according to Wolfbane I am 5 miles from the mast and multimap reports 6 miles. I plugged in the aerial anyway and analogue was shabby but I got this on Freeview

MUX 1 is fine with signal quality and strength very high
MUX 2 Is basically none existant. Signal strength is hig but the quality is
either low or none at all
MUX A is pretty much the same as MUX 2
MUX B is very good very similar to MUX 1
MUX C is is also good and very similar to MUX 1 and MUX B
MUX D is also as good as MUX 1, C and B

I was thinking of getting this

http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...o=890&doy=20m6

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

That looks like any other ordinary aerial. Try this http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/...79873&id=41700

I note, from the specification page, that Maplin aerial has a gain of 60dB or 6dB (take your pick).

1. What aerial?
2. Situated where?
3. Connected with what type/length of cable?

What aerial did "Wolfbane" recommend (obviously Group E but wideband will do). Wolfbane bases its suggestion on the premise that the aerial is outdoors at a height of no less than 10 metres.

Its just a set top aerial with the "bunny ears" on top of TV with a cable length of about 2 metre. Wolfbane suggested Log periodic but a loft insulation is easier for me as I dont have £150 to spend.
