Just finished building my high end HTPC and would like to know 'What is the best way to quieten down the DVD player?'
Its way too loud for me 'Pioneer - 112D' running Vista

You could try this download

It's a speed control tool. The 112D is not listed but it might work on it
Edit, there is also a speed control in AnyDVD

Look at quiet drives like this:-

or try to reduce any drive vibration with rubber grommets.

I bought one of those for £20 from ebuyer....superbly quiet :smashin:
