Battery Life & Lockup

Have had a Harmony 885 for 4 months. Just recently have noticed that sometimes when you pick it up, the screen does not light up, and sometimes when it does, everything is distorted. Then if it locks up a message pops up saying "TESTING". Taking the battery out helps, but surely this is not right. Also, the battery life seems to be shortening. Does it need to be in its cradle recharging a few hours a day? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but Search on this Forum is not working!!

Search facility working now - seems like a battery fitting problem. But still need to know how regularly the unit needs to be charged.
