Unhappy scart to hdmi ? or scart to component adapters ?

hi

i have the LE46M87BDX samsung tv
and as you may already know there is a problem with lines going down the side of the tv when using the scart connection on this tv.

i use a virgin media box,and dont want to upgrade to the V+ box yet,so i am wondering can you get a adapter that goes on the end of the RGB scart lead that adapts to HDMI or COMPONENT ?

This should then not produce the lines, and yes i will get the tv fixed when they come up with a fix for this problem but this might sort it in the meantime.

Re: scart to hdmi ? or scart to component adapters ?

RGB to component is easy & relatively cheap. I've been using this for several years & can't fault it.

RGB to HDMI is more expensive. You're really looking at scalers at that stage. There are some cheaper options available but I have no personal experience with these & I'm not sure if they'll do direct RGB conversion:

Many newer receivers do format conversion too but usually from composite/s-video to component/HDMI etc.

I'd say the JS-Tech scart>yuv would be the best option.
