Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
Not so sure Garmin do a bespoke case ?
You could do worse than try your local Jessops - see if a digital camera case would fit.
What do you think of the unit ? I'm thinking of getting the 250 - same as, but full Euro maps.

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
Hi gilesme
have only just bought it from local Halfords store (same price as online price),so have only used it from there to home but it seemed to be O.K. This is my first sat nav so have nothing to compare with. I was also looking at the Garmin nuvi 300 310 350 ect which have mp3 player some models suppled with case I think. What I cannot understand is that you can get Garmin nuvi 300 series for less money than the Garmin nuvi 200 online,so I presume something must be better on the Garmin nuvi 200 as to what I don't know. I do like the size,as you are now advised not to leave them in the car meaning you have to carry them around with you, that is why I am after the close fitting case. I may as you suggested call in and see what Jessops have. Please let me know if you do get the Garmin nuvi 250 and what you think of it.

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
Glad to help.
Picking my 250 up tomorrow - how much was postage for the case ?
If I'm keeping it, might get one myself.
<< edit - £2.54 ! >>

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
gilesme,
I have used my nuvi 200 quite a bit today,I must say I like it. I have also down loaded the 90 day free trial of the "Safety Camera Database". I presume that you will be able to do this with the nuvi 250 if you get one.

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
Hi,
Got mine last night - very impressed with it.
Not been on to register yet - I was using the speedcams from pocketgpsworld site on my old device - might use my freebies up and then revert back there.
Loaded a stack of "custom POIs" last night via USB (c.19000) from
http://www.maft.co.uk/garmin/.
Need to back up the whole unit tonight to my PC.

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
gilesme
received my case this morning, just what I wanted.
On another topic,POi and there down loading/installaion,
I have downloaded/installed Garmin POi Loader.
On http://www.maft.co.uk/garmin/ please can you tell me in plain English (not to great at doing things like this)how I go about downloading/installing the POI's to my NUVI 200 thats if it is possible, can I pick & choose which I install? what is the cost or are they free?. One last thing is it possible to view the contents of the poi's,e.g. which grounds are in the "Football Grounds"poi'.

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
Hi Tony - glad to hear the case is good - I've ordered one too !
Did you look at the "how to" guide ? http://www.maft.co.uk/garmin/info_use.htm
Hopefully should make things clearer. Download the whole zip file to a subdirectory on your PC. Unzip it. You will then have loads of files - there are 2 files per category - one is the "locations" file, the other is an "icon" file to display on the garmin. For those you do not need, delete both of the files.
Not sure about footy sites - I'm not into footy so never upload these !! However, if you open the file up, it will list all those available.
Hope this helps - let me know if you need more.

Re: Garmin nuvi 200 carry case
No problem - glad to be of help.
Case came this morning - which my wife immediately christened my purse.
It's not a purse, it's a man-bag....
