Varilight will not turn off the lights

I have 2 varlight controllers in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. These have been installed for over 12 months and have worked really well.

Over the weekend however, the bedroom lights were on full and could not be turned off from the dimmer switch or the remote. To get round this i have had to remove the bulbs.

Is the dimmer switch faulty?
Why would this happen (load/power surge)?
How can it be resolved?

Thanks in advance.

Martin

Re: Varilight will not turn off the lights

Can't solve your problem but a similar thing happened to mine. Suddennly it started to work again but then after a few weeks it jammed again only this time with the lights off. Never worked again after that.

Has anyone else had similar problems? I was about to order a new one hoping mine was a one off but this post has made me think twice.

Re: Varilight will not turn off the lights

Mine are screwed by my yamaha remote. Everytime i hit the volume, the lights adjust too A bit of black electrical tape has solved it for now, as i like the flush finish.
