Watched this other day on HD-DVD.
Still enjoyable today as it was when it was first released back in the early 80s.
(I must have seen this film 20 times and I never get bored of watching it. By far the best of the Mad Max Trilogy).
THE HD picture quality is superb and at times you feel like you're watching a whole new film. (The '5.1' re-mix is still pretty poor though)
Modern movie Directors take note in the masterclass of filmmaking in the tanker chase sequence at the end. NO CGI and better than most of today's offerings.
A timeless gem and along with The Thing (made around the same time) and a must have HD-DVD
