is there any software out there that will let me copy just the movie from a hd dvd to my hdd for playback on my htpc? will be using an xbox360 drive to copy the disc.
any ideas on size of just the movie on a hd dvd

doesn't that just copy the disc, i'm looking to be able to strip extras and subs and soundtracks off
You should be able to simply choose the file to copy across, ingoring the extra subs and menus. Not sure abour soundtracks though.

You could try Clone DVD with AnyDVD HD, haven't tried it myself.
