Cedia Expo 2007 26-28th June

Anyone going ?

Why has no one posted about it?

Quote
The event showcases the latest innovations and technologies in home cinema, audio-video solutions, lighting control, structured wiring, HVAC control, blind and security systems. If you are involved in the planning, design, specification or installation of home electronic systems, this is the only dedicated event for you in Europe.

Why are the organisers not promoting it on avforums?

Indeed it used to have a "public " day but I am sure that's stopped. It's a trade show for architects, installers, developers. Not the greatest show on earth for end users.

If you want to see a much more entertaining version then book a flight to Denver for CEDIA USA2007 in Sept

Ohps,

Just looked deeper into the website and it seems that it is Trade only. Dam.... Do you think if you appeared would you get in or are they likely to ask for ID ? Just curious as I have already paid for my travel. Any help appreciated !!

Ricky,

Knock yourself up some letterhead in Word and then print off a business card for the made up company and you'll be fine. If that doesn't work I'm sure some poor soul will help you get a pass

Re: Cedia Expo 2007 26-28th June

Went yesterday - well worth going.

It is set up for trade - so you'll only see dealer prices there. Some truly amazing kit. Some of which at a price which would give Bill Gates pause for thought.

But if you want to set on remote controlled leather sofas with subwoofers built in while watching a blue ray movie projected using a €20,000 projector onto a screen which collapses into your coffee table with speakers designed to look like art, controlled by a £500 universal remote control which will even fill your bath automatically all of which is wired up using benedictine-monk-blessed cables.... you can't go far wrong!

There were many (any?) samples being given away, but you'll get lots of magazines and leaflets.

It's running until the end of today.
