Re: An old washed up boat . . .
#1 is superb with the colour of the sky reflecting in the still water. #2 is great but I do prefer the composition in #1.

Re: An old washed up boat . . .
Both are wonderful shots Gizmo 76 - I love the compostion of #1 the colours are superb. #2 has a great perspective and I like the way it almost looks like a different boat with the super wide angle

EASY!!
I admit there are a few seperate exposures going on here, but I was quite gentle, just wanted the nice sky and some foreground boat detail, and finally a bit of dodging and burning, so all pretty standard for me

Re: An old washed up boat . . .
Last one of the boat, and one for you wide lovers
Just thought I'd post it as I like the way the sky changes thoughout the horizon in the shot.
3.
Goodnight

Re: An old washed up boat . . .
I like #2 probably the most, they do all appear to be a tad underexposed/dark to me though. Nice colours on them all

Re: An old washed up boat . . .
Cheers all
Steve - It was just stating to get dull out when they were taken, must of been just gone 9pm last night. I might well invest in one of them monitor calibration devices in the coming months as I work off of 3 different screens depending where I am, and the result always look slightly different on each in terms of both sharpness and brightness.
I really should get out more in the later and earlier hours of the day as I quite enjoyed the walk last night.

Re: An old washed up boat . . .
#3 would have to be my favourite. Looks like you had some nice light.
Nit picking I'd have to mention the ghosting around the lower right of the boat's bow.
I love the garduation of the orange to blue in the sky but am a wee bit put off by the way the orange seems to hover just above the horizon as opposed to merge doen into it. (don't know if thats how it was or if thats to do with processing.)

Re: An old washed up boat . . .
Thanks
Ally - The sky is like that in the original, but the processing has definitely made it more apparent.
Jamesbryan - They're HDR, I tried to just combine 2 exposures, but I couldn't get a result I was happy with. So I split the single RAW into 4 (-2.5, -1.5, 0, +1.5 - I think), then I combined these in photomatix, but I used very low strength (30ish) as I wanted to keep it looking real. After this, a couple of additional tweaks and some dodging, and viola
