wireless printer connection

I've got a laptop and desk top which both use wireless broadband internet connection, is it possible to have a wireless link to my current printer? If so how do I go about it? What do I need to set it up?

Re: wireless printer connection

Unless your printer has built in wireless (unlikely) then it will need physically connected to something that can send data to it. This could be either of your computers, a router that has a printer port, or a dedicated print server.

Once the printer is available on your network just go to add printer, tell it it's a network printer and off you go

Re: wireless printer connection

I agree with Brian: however the physical connection could be to a wireless print server, such as this,

This means that you can then put the printers where you like.
