Panasonic 50PHD8 adjustment

Hi,

Can anyone help me with calibrating a 50PHD8.

I had a display2 colourimeter but quickly sent it back for a monaco optix sr, (works with plasmas).

I have been told that the PHD8 dosn't have colour decoder controls, is this true?

Is the right way to adjust the secondary colours by turning off other colour guns in the service menu, eg.

for red, disable green and blue guns, adjust R-Y and B-Y in the SM using the colour filter (supplied with DVE) then turn on green, turn off red and adjust for that colour etc..

Is this correct?

Is it possible to shift position of measured primaries and secondaries in the CIE chart to the correct reference points with this panel (if so how?) or is only fine adjustments only possible?

Any help would be appreciated.

Been very busy this weekend. It was my 40th bday....just recovering.

There are no advanced colour controls in Panasonic plasma. Not sure with PHD8 but with previous ones colour sat and hue in service menu had no effect on RGB signals sent to the device.

I would use the service menu gun control to allow you to see effect colour controls have, as you suggest. I am also unfamiliar with your probe but most tri-stimulus devices are not able to measure primaries and secondaries accurately anyway.
