Re: Britishness - Bird Watching
Good pic... it's a very British pastime. Maybe there could be a bit more detail pulled out from the back of the bench? It looks totally black on my screen.
btw I spent about two minutes looking for a bird on the other side of the river that the people on the bench were supposedly looking at before I finally 'got it'.

Re: Britishness - Bird Watching
Great photo Pixel.
There's something unmistakably British about those hairdos! (and the shoes).
The flats opposite add a nice touch too.
Nice one!

Re: Britishness - Bird Watching
Thanks for the comments everyone, I know it was a bit rushed and its a bit washed out but I feel it works. I feel so better with my ability to use my camera. I do think I have out grown the camera and its time to move to maybe something bigger and better.
They also had sandwiches in tin foil

PP-This made me laugh, and you're right BTW - entering is the joy of the competition.

They had been on the boat canal tours in Manchester until them I was unaware of any boat tours. It does still make me laugh, I never intended this to enter in this months competition as I was unaware of the competition title until I checked the site yesterday.
So far this month I have maybe taken at least 60+ images, if I based this over the last 6 months it would be about 80+. Thats one big improvement for me and I am quite happy.
Once again thanks for the comments.

Re: Britishness - Bird Watching
Lovely entry pixel, very British a great angle. The B&W conversion really adds to it as does the comedy aspect. Well done

Re: Britishness - Bird Watching
Thanks for the comments.....Its really nice for once to have something to show. This has made me think about doing some more images, this time of people. Its something that I really struggle with. I do the odd birthday party and so on but I would like to do some real people.
Maybe something like tramps, travellers and big issue sellers! now that could be fun. +Note if someone does enter a tramp, traveller or a big issue seller into this months comp they got it from me.
Any way feel free to have a try and enter this months comp.

Re: Britishness - Bird Watching
It fits the theme quite well for me and the deaturation gives it that something extra, though it's a shame that all of the detail in the back of the bench has been lost.

This was shot from the hip and it was rushed , I really don't have the ability to take pictures of people either in front of or even behind them . If I had of took some time it would have been far better. Maybe that the fact I have entered this month is more important.
Thanks for all the above comments.
