E-Buyer - completely **** or just my experience so far??
ordered the Harmony 525 from them yesterday....got an email saying my card was declined and it had become a quote, i checked my online banking all fine, rang Cust Services and they said to create a new order and try again, it went through fine this time (and i didnt change any card details!) however it just sat on allocated all day even though delivery was supposed to be today... Rang cust services again this morning and they tell me that my card hasnt been charged due to a mistake with there system and they will refund my carriage costs, great i think, i can wait an extra day and she seemed nice enough so an honest mistake perhaps (this was 9am this morning)... just checked it online now (1230) still sat in the same place as yesterday, carriage still on the price and no movement....
anybody else have these problem ebuyer or is it me????

I use them a lot and I've never had a problem. In fact my current order wasn't supposed to ship until tomorrow but it was dispatched yesterday. From my experience you've just had bad luck.

Re: E-Buyer - completely **** or just my experience so far??
I order from them 4-5 times a month for work and home. I have been doing this for about 3 or 4 years now and can assure you that problems are fairly common. They have been much better of late than a year or so ago when they got rid of the phones for customer service, I stopped using them for 6 months then and don't think I was the only one.
The most common problem is that orders or parts of orders arrive late. I am not sure if it is a particular warehouse that causes the problems or possibly issues doing direct sales from manufacturers. Unfortunately this is very common and annoying, particularly when you have all the order apart from one component that you can't do anything without. My Harmony Remote took 3 days over the due date even though I selected the 5 day supersaver delivery. I have also had to have massive arguements with them to get refunds on non delivered items (though they did send me an extra motherboard a while back ). I know this is mainly a courier issue but it is still a PITA.
The real problems though are when the order processing goes wrong. Once you are relying on people to manually adjust things (as I think is your case) you never know when something is coming till it arrives. The problem is that their system often does not update to show what is happening till after it happens. As such your order could easily be on it's way, or just as easily floating in limbo.
At the end of the day though they have an excelent range, prices are fairly keen and most stuff does get here on time (that which doesn't still normally get there in the end). It really depends what you need from a supplier.

Re: E-Buyer - completely **** or just my experience so far??
finally got an email last night saying it had been dispatched..... no evidence of carriage being refunded though, checked my online banking and there is nothing on there yet so will see what happens as the day goes on....
what i will say in fairness is that a few people at work order from them and have never had a problem so am hoping this is a 1 off, although if i have this problem again i wont order with them anymore....

From my experience they're either spot on or a complete nightmare. Once something goes wrong it takes a lot of sorting out plus things go wrong more often than you'd hope.....

I'm still waiting on mine, how did you get the carriage back?
I ordered mine with the supersaver delivery option (within 5 days)at just over £4 should i contact them yet or is this normal? It's been 5 working days so far.

the lady offered me it free when i complained it hadnt arrived on time..... thing is though, the ledger says £4.70 when on my actual order it says carriage of just over £8 so if that isnt in my account i'm ringing back..... awful company to buy from and despite what some people on here have said i wont be ordering from them again....
